Plantation
The Plantation is where the Planter will grow either sugar cane, bamboo, or cactus.
The Plantation its level determines how many crops the Planter can plant at a time.
Building Level | Crops Grown |
---|---|
1 | 4 |
2 | 8 |
3 | 12 |
4 | 16 |
5 | 20 |
The Plantation is where the Planter will grow a variety of plants:
- Sugar Cane
- Cactus
- Bamboo
- Cocoa Beans
- Vine
- Kelp
- Seagrass
- Sea Pickles
- Glow Berries
- Weeping Vines
- Twisting Vines
- Crimson Plants (Crimson Roots and Crimson Fungus)
- Warped Plants (Warped Roots and Warped Fungus)
Each plant is grown on fields, which can be schematics (part of your style pack) that the Builder can construct. However, these fields have different requirements as outlined on the Schematics page.
These do not work like Farmer's Hut fields where you only have to place a scarecrow down!
The Plantation has a limit of fields, based on it's building level, as well as one accompanying research.
Building Level | Number of Fields | Number of Fields with "Crop Rotation" Research |
---|---|---|
1 | 1 | 2 |
2 | 1 | 2 |
3 | 2 | 3 |
4 | 2 | 3 |
5 | 3 | 4 |
The Plantation is also limited by the amount of concurrent plants it can work on, so if you were to have a field of Sugar Cane and Cactus, those are two different plants. Unlike the field limit, this one does not increase by the research, meaning that - with the research unlocked - you will not be able to have four different kinds of fields.
Building Level | Number of Concurrent Plants |
---|---|
1 | 1 |
2 | 1 |
3 | 2 |
4 | 2 |
5 | 3 |
The Planter can also craft paper, books, sugar, and anything made with bamboo. The Planter will only make these items when they have been taught the recipes, receive a request for an item, and have the needed materials.
Note: The Planter can only learn a certain amount of recipes per their hut level.
Building Level | Number of Recipes |
---|---|
1 | 10 |
2 | 20 |
3 | 40 |
4 | 80 |
5 | 160 |
Interface
The first tab of the GUI is the main interface.
- Header:
- Building Name: Shows the name of the building, including the level of the building.
- Pencil: Allows you to rename the building. The level of the building will always be listed after the name.
- Assigned Workers: Tells you the workers assigned to this building.
- Controls:
- Manage Workers: Lets you change which workers are assigned to work at this hut. Note: this only works if you have turned the worker hiring mode, in the Town Hall or in the hut itself, to manual, otherwise citizens will be hired automatically.
- Recall Workers: Recalls the workers at this building to the building. You might use it if they are stuck somewhere, you want to see what they have, or want to give them something directly.
- Build Options: Lets you create a build, upgrade, or repair build order for this hut. To learn more about the building system, please visit the Builder page.
- Request System:
- Pickup Priority: You can set the priority that a Courier will visit this hut and pick up items (when the worker at this hut issues a request), or you can tell Couriers to never visit this hut to pick up items. (For the pickup priority, 10 is the highest.)
- Request Pickup Now: You can click this button in order to tell any available Courier to come and pick up all the items from the building
- Footer:
- Info Button: Some huts have an in-game guide. Press the ? button to access it.
- Inventory: Here you can access the hut block's storage, where the worker at this hut takes and deposits materials. They will also use any that were placed in the hut when it was built or upgraded, so be sure to check those as well!
- Chest Icon: Click this button to see all the items in the hut's storage (including the hut block's inventory and any racks that came with the hut). Clicking the ? button next to an item's count will highlight the storage container it's in.
The second tab of the GUI is the crafting recipes.
Here you can see all the crafting recipes this building knows.
The arrows allow you to move them up or down in priority. You are also able to disable or remove specific recipes.
The third tab of the GUI is the tasks.
This tab shows you any requests the Plantation is working on, and where it is going.
The fourth tab of the GUI is the fields.
- Assign fields to worker: Automatic by default. Here you can define if you prefer to manually assign the fields for this Plantation .
- Fields: This is the list of recognized fields (recognizable by the crop in its GUI and its distance). This button can show in multiple different ways:
- If the button shows a red X, it means the field is assigned to the Plantation
- If it's not greyed out, it may be assigned from the building
- If it's greyed out, it may not be assigned from the building, that can happen due to multiple reasons
- The fields are assigned automatically
- The field has a different reason why it may not be assigned, like a limit of fields reached (hover over the button)
- If the button shows a green checkmark, it means the field is unassigned to the Plantation
- If it's greyed out, it means it may not be unassigned because the fields are being assigned automatically
- If it is not greyed out, it may be assigned
The fifth tab of the GUI is the settings.
- Recipe Mode:
This is unlocked by researching Warehouse Master in the University. This changes how multiple recipes for the same item are prioritized.
- Priority:
This is the default setting. The hut will try to use recipes that are higher up in their recipe list first.
- Warehouse Stock:
The hut will look in the warehouse first to see what resource you have more of before deciding what recipe it will use.
